A fashionable new calendar highlighting social issues launches today.Inega is all set to launch its calendar, an array of black-and-white pictures portraying 12 social causes. A cause has been highlighted for each month — Human Trafficking Awareness Day in January, World Cancer Day in February, Elimination of Racial Discrim-ination in March,
Earth Day in April and so on.
India’s leading photographer, Prasad Naik, has shot the calendar with contributions from reputed designers and top Indian and international models.
The calendar is not for sale but Inega will call on people to contribute through an initiative that will continue through the year. All proceeds will be given to the NGO Give India.
Through the efforts of Shreyansh Innovations, a book titled ‘i-morphosis’ has been compiled on the causes. The book will be distributed alongside the calendar and will provide an in-depth analysis on the causes and a domestic and global position on them.
Saumil Patel, Director, Inega, says, “We value the need to contribute to society as much as our drive towards economic growth.” The calendar will be launched on Monday, December 5 in Mumbai.
